National Petroleum Council issues report on reducing GHG from natural gas systems

The National Petroleum Council (NPC) has issued a new report that lays out a path to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the natural gas systems. The report, "Charting the Course: Reducing GHG Emissions from the U.S. Natural Gas Supply Chain," looks at two broad pathways to reduce methane and greenhouse gas emissions. Kentucky Power to file Demand-Side Management proposal to aid energy efficiency

Kentucky Power intends to file a Demand-Side Management (DSM) proposal with the Kentucky Public Service Commission (PSC) on May 1 that will include new energy efficiency programs.  Those programs include a Home Energy Improvement Program and Commercial Energy Solutions Program. DTE Energy works through renewable energy programs to make 2024 NFL Draft carbon neutral

Constellation seeks renewal of nuclear license for Illinois’ Dresden Clean Energy Center

A group of New England states jointly submitted two applications for federal funding to support investments in large-scale transmission and energy storage infrastructure. Louisiana PSC approves first phase of Entergy Louisiana’s five-year grid resilience plan

Backing a plan to fortify and increase resilience of the Entergy Louisiana power grid infrastructure, the Louisiana Public Service Commission (PSC) recently approved phase one of the company’s latest grid resilience plan. As a result, Entergy Louisiana intends to launch 2,100 projects to reinforce critical transmission and distribution structures. Eversource Energy, Ørsted finalize agreement for offshore Sunrise Wind project

After finalizing an arrangement with Ørsted, Eversource Energy recently announced that it will sell its 50 percent ownership stake in the 924 MW Sunrise Wind project. Sunrise Wind is an offshore project meant to help power New England. Now, while Eversource will remain contracted to lead its construction, Ørsted will be the majority owner in the project and assume financial obligations for its project costs. New York State Public Service Commission initiates study on building an affordable, clean modern grid

Billing the move as one to keep New York innovating, Gov.
