The Georgia Public Service Commission announced on Monday that Commissioner Tim Echols will host a Clean Energy Roadshow, stopping in seven Georgia cities to provide free public events focused on clean energy initiatives in the state.

“I started the Clean Energy Roadshow to help business and local governments learn more about alternative fuels and clean energy,” Echols said. “This sixth annual event will focus on sustainable practices, vehicles and energy technologies that are working for cities, schools, businesses and transit.”

The public events will focus on the contributions advancements in clean energy have made in the state, including a focus on solar, natural gas, biomass, electric power, wind power and propane energy solutions. The events will look at how these energy resources have impacted vehicle development, agriculture equipment and carbon-free power generation while keeping rates low for consumers and generating new business opportunities.

The events will also include information on the positive economic impact of developing clean, renewable energy technology, and will provide information on funding resources to further new development. The roadshow will stop in seven Georgia cities, including Dahlonega, Gwinnett, Cobb County, LaGrange, Albany, Americus, and two stops in Savannah, from June 14-24 of this year.

All events are free to attend and open to the public, but registration is required.
