MidAmerican Energy Company names new president, CEO
MidAmerican Energy Company recently named Adam Wright, previously the company’s vice president of gas delivery, as the company’s new president and CEO amid the restructuring of Berkshire Hathaway Energy’s executive management.
Wright will take over for Bill Fehrman who served as president and CEO of MidAmerican Energy Company for more than a decade and will now become president and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Energy.

Wright began working with the Berkshire Hathaway Energy family of businesses in 1996 while in college. In 2003, he joined the Northern Natural Gas operations group where he held various management positions. In 2010, he became the vice president of marketing for Northern Natural Gas where he managed long-term service agreements negotiations and customer satisfaction initiatives.
Wright transitioned to MidAmerican Energy in 2012 to oversee the operation and expansion of its wind generation fleet. In 2015, he assumed the role of vice president of gas operations.
