Quanta picked to construct spread three of North Montney gas pipeline

Quanta Services was selected Monday by NOVA Gas Transmission to construct spread three of the North Montney Mainline gas pipeline in British Columbia, Canada.

Quanta will construct and install one mainline spread of pipeline, which will stretch approximately 39 miles across Fort St. John in British Columbia. The mainline is 42 inches in diameter.

Quanta is expected to begin construction in the third quarter of 2018. The company plans to complete the spread in the first half of 2019.

The North Montney Mainline (NMML) pipeline project will run for 128 miles through the Peace River Regional District in British Columbia. It also includes the construction of two compressor stations and 14-meter stations. The pipeline will connect natural gas producers to markets throughout Canada and the United States. It is expected to generate long-term economic benefits for the province and Canada.
Construction began in August and will take two years to complete, with facilities being phased in starting in September 2019.

Quanta, which is part of TransCanada, is a leading contracting services company, specializing in infrastructure solutions for the electric power, oil and gas and communications industries. Quanta’s services include designing, installing, repairing and maintaining energy and communications infrastructure.

Quanta has operations throughout the United States, Canada, Latin America, Australia and several other international markets.
