The Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC) recently granted a certificate of convenience and necessity (CCN) to Ameren Missouri to construct a solar facility under a pilot subscriber solar program.

The PSC has approved an agreement to develop the project on land owned by the City of St. Louis at the St. Louis Lambert International Airport, and Ameren Missouri has secured a lease for use of this land.

The project will consist of a one-megawatt (MW) facility that Ameren Missouri will build after it has received customer subscriptions totaling one MW.

Customers enrolling in the pilot will be required to pay a Solar Participation fee until the project has received enough subscriptions to build the full one MW facility. Under the agreement, Ameren Missouri’s capital investment for the facility is capped at $3 million.
