AEP Energy Partners seeking proposals for solar, wind
AEP Energy Partners is seeking proposals for offtake from new solar and new or repowered wind facilities located in PJM — a regional transmission organization that coordinates the movement of wholesale electricity in 13 states and the District of Columbia.
An offtake agreement is between the project company and the party buying the energy the project will produce.
AEP is seeking renewable energy purchase agreements of 10, 12 or 15 years for facilities that begin operation between 2020 and 2023.
AEP will use the offtake to support the company’s growing retail and wholesale loads in PJM, including the recent deal with Google to supply their New Albany, Ohio data center with dedicated renewable energy.
AEP is accepting intent to bid proposals by Nov. 22. Proposal packages are due no later than 12:00 p.m. ET on Dec. 13, 2019. Details on the Requests for Proposals are available at http://aep.com/rfp.
