PESA announces new senior director of public policy

Jean Gould recently joined the Petroleum Equipment and Services Association (PESA) staff as the organization’s senior director of public policy.

PESA advocates for job creation, economic stability and technological improvement for energy service, supply and manufacturing organizations. Founded in 1933, PESA has more than 200 member companies who employ a collective global workforce of 1.3 million.

Gould will, in her new role, develop and maintain PESA’s policy platform, promote and advocate for petroleum service and supply industry issues, as well as act as a liaison to the PESA Policy, Government Affairs, Legal and International Trade Committees.

Prior to joining PESA, Gould worked as VP of external affairs and communications at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), an international classification society. Before her work at ABS, she was the director of corporate and government affairs at the leading public relations firm, Conye PR. Gould worked at Exxon Corporation for 18 years, first as an engineer, and then in a variety of other positions including federal lobbyist and international corporate affairs advisor.

Gould earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, an MBA from the University of Houston and a Master of Science in Global Affairs from New York University.
