Idaho Power Company recently announced several executive changes, including the promotion of Adam Richins, the company’s general manager of customer operations, engineering and construction since January 2014, to vice president of Customer Operations and Business Development.

In his new role, effective March 1, Richins will oversee Customer Operations, Business Development, and Customer Relations and Energy Efficiency.

“Customer satisfaction and business development are top priorities for our company, and Adam has demonstrated an ability to work effectively with customers, helping to enhance the customer experience and support the company’s brand,” Darrel Anderson, Idaho Power and IDACORP president and CEO, said. “I am confident his demonstrated leadership in engineering, construction and process improvement will help make him successful in his new role.”

Richins joined Idaho Power in 2011 as senior counsel in the legal department. He holds two Bachelor of Science degrees; one in mathematics from the University of Puget Sound and another in civil engineering from Columbia University. He earned his law degree from the University of Washington. Richins graduated from Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program in 2016.

The board also approved current Vice President of Customer Operations Vern Porter’s move to become Vice President of Transmission and Distribution Engineering and Construction and Chief Safety Officer, also effective March 1.

Lisa Grow, the company’s senior vice president of Operations, will become senior vice president and COO, and Brian Buckham, the company’s vice president and general counsel, will be senior vice president and general counsel, both effective March 1.

“These changes within our executive leadership team position us well for the future from both an organizational and succession planning perspective,” Anderson said.
