GE creates Renewable Energy Services Business

GE Renewable Energy recently announced the creation of Renewable Energy Services Business, which will work with GE’s Onshore Wind, Offshore Wind and Hydropower businesses to deliver more customer value and solutions for the industry.

GE also named Anne McEntee vice president of the new initiative and announced that Pete McCabe will take over her previous role as president and CEO of Onshore Wind.

In her new role, McEntee will be collaborating with the GE Renewable Energy service organizations and
the digital team to expand service agreements and Original Equipment Manufacturer opportunities, and improve the business’ productivity and value to customers.

McCabe has worked at GE for 22 years. A GE Company Officer, he most recently served as vice president of Global Services Organization, a unit of GE Transportation.

“The creation of a Services offering is critical for our business to be even smarter, more efficient and faster,” President and CEO of GE Renewable Energy Jérôme Pécresse said. “I am confident that under Anne’s leadership our dedicated service business will continue to grow and I know that Pete, with his strategic problem-solving and willingness to embrace disruptive technology, is well suited to keep our Onshore Wind business on this positive track.”

McEntee and McCabe’s appointments became effective Feb. 1, 2017.
