The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) recently announced PowerForward, a review of the
latest in technological and regulatory innovations in the modern electricity industry.

“Technology is evolving rapidly in the electricity industry,” PUCO Chairman Asim Z. Haque said. “Through PowerForward, the PUCO will comprehensively explore this technology and consider how it could serve to enhance the customer electricity experience. We will be hosting national experts that are itching to talk about an evolving world of power delivery. I personally am excited to advance the electricity dialogue in Ohio; PowerForward could be the start of something revolutionary.”

PUCO will begin the program with a series titled “A Glimpse at the Future.” The three-day series will include presentations from industry experts on distribution technologies, how the grid of the future may improve service for customers and technologies currently being developed that will lead to that enhancement. The series will take place on April 18, 19 and 20.

PowerForward will be open to the public and free to attend. It will also be livestreamed on PUCO’s website.
