Ameren Missouri predicted to save commercial customers $1.8M through energy efficiency upgrades

By deploying energy efficiency upgrades through its BizSavers program, Ameren Missouri recently announced that more than 416 commercial customers should save a combined more than $1.8 million on energy costs this year.

This announcement follows the completion of more than 575 energy efficiency projects, such as LED lighting, high-efficiency HVAC and refrigeration systems, commercial-grade cooking equipment and motor controls/variable frequency drives. The company is expecting to announce more completed projects by December 2023.

BizSavers offers cash incentives for those upgrades, and they should lead to more than 26 million kW hours of electricity saved this year.

“Ameren Missouri is proud to work with many of our commercial customers, such as Toyota Missouri and the City of St. Charles School District, to help them save money on energy costs through our BizSavers program,” Rich Wright, manager of energy efficiency at Ameren Missouri, said “The program is designed to provide quick and easy savings, as well as customized solutions for businesses of any size. When businesses are able to adopt these, everyone benefits as a result.”

Among many others, the program includes major businesses such as Toyota Missouri and important local staples such as the City of St. Charles School District.
