Chodak holds a doctorate in nuclear engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master’s
degree in environmental engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and a bachelor’s degree in
chemical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He also served for 12 years in the US Navy. He has been the executive sponsor of AEP’s Veteran’s Employee Resource Group from 2018-2022 and Pride Employee Resource Group since 2022.
