Business Council for Sustainable Energy Announces Partnership with Pew’s Clean Energy Business Network

The Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE) announced this week a partnership with The Pew Charitable Trusts’ Clean Energy Business Network (CEBN), through which the two organizations will coordinate on work to promote certain clean energy policies.

The partnership, set to begin on May 1, will see the two organizations will collaborate on promoting policies that support access to affordable, reliable and clean energy solutions and a diverse U.S. energy portfolio. The partnership will be structured to maximize policy coordination and shared resources while maintaining some independence and continuity for both organizations.

“The Council is delighted to welcome the Clean Energy Business Network as a new grassroots initiative of our organization,” BCSE President Lisa Jacobson said. “This partnership will give the clean energy industry a stronger, more unified voice in our nation’s capital and throughout the country.”

Over the coming months, BCSE and CEBN staff will survey organization members to gather information on their policy priorities, as well as proposals for new services and networking opportunities. This information will be used to develop a new strategic plan and governance structure that supports more member involvement.

Lynn Abramson, who has managed the CEBN at Pew since July 2013, will serve as Executive Director of the Clean Energy Business Network beginning May 1.
