Energy Transfer announces new pipelines now transporting natural gas to Texas-Mexico border

Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. (ETP) recently announced that two natural gas pipelines in West Texas, the Trans-Pecos Pipeline and the Comanche Trail Pipeline, as well as the Trans-Pecos Pipeline WAHA Header (WAHA Header) have begun operation.

The pipelines and the WAHA header transport natural gas from the Waha Hub in Pecos County, Texas to
the Texas-Mexico border. Carso Energy Corp. and MasTec, Inc., affiliates of ETP, own the pipelines and header.

The Comanche Trail Pipeline and the WAHA Header entered service as scheduled on January 30. The 42-inch pipeline stretches 195 miles from Pecos County to the Texas-Mexico border in San Elizario, Texas,
just south of El Paso, Texas. The pipeline is designed to transport 1.1 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas and includes seven delivery taps along its route. The WAHA Header, located near the Waha Hub, can accommodate 6 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas and connects to over 10 different natural gas pipelines.

The Trans-Pecos Pipeline entered operation on March 31. The 148-mile, 42-inch intrastate pipeline begins in Pecos County traverses Brewster and Presidio counties and ends at the Texas border near Presidio, Texas. The Trans-Pecos Pipeline is designed to transport 1.4 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas and incorporates six local delivery taps throughout its route.

The Trans-Pecos Pipeline also agreed to a cooperative effort to help West Texas Gas and the City of Presidio with the construction costs of a new pipeline that will connect to the Trans-Pecos Pipeline and transport natural gas to the recently established Presidio Industrial Park. The partners anticipate that the new lateral pipeline will enter operation by June 2017.
