The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) recently named Dan Bradley the new senior resident inspector at the Callaway nuclear power plant in Fulton, Missouri.

“Dan Bradley has the training, experience and commitment to safety that will help the NRC carry out its mission of ensuring the continued safe operation of the Callaway nuclear power plant,” NRC Region IV Administrator Kriss Kennedy said.

Bradley has served as the resident inspector at Columbia Generating Station in Richland, Washington since 2013. In 2011, he joined the NRC’s Region IV office in Arlington, Texas where he worked as a project engineer in the Division of Reactor Projects. Before he joined the NRC, he served in the U.S. Navy submarine force aboard the USS Texas.

Bradley earned a bachelor’s degree in physics and a master’s degree in nuclear and radiological engineering from the University
of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Each U.S. commercial nuclear power plant has at least two resident inspectors. They conduct inspections, monitor plant operations and safety-significant work projects as well as communicate with plant employees and the public.
