Vermont Public Service Board to allow e-filing of new-metering cases, announces name change
The Vermont Public Service Board (PSB), which regulates the state’s public utilities, announced recently that new net-metering cases may be filed in ePSB, an electronic filing and case management system, starting July 3.
The Board will accept a limited number of new net-metering cases in ePSB as part of a pilot program beginning on June 12. Board staff will hold online training sessions for the new system on June 27 and 29.
ePSB can be used to access information about Board cases, read documents related to those cases and file many types of new cases.
The Board plans to release subsequent phases of ePSB later in 2017.
The Public Service Board also announced that it will change its name to the Public Utility Commission (PUC) on July 1. The new name, the board said, more clearly reflects its current statutory responsibilities and will lessen confusion about the difference between the board and a separate state agency known as the Public Service Department.
The new name will be abbreviated as the PUC or as the Commission. PUC will replace PSB in the board’s website and email addresses. Links to the current website will be redirected to the new site.
