American Gas Association launches campaign to raise awareness of natural gas benefits

The American Gas Association (AGA) recently announced the launch of “Your Energy,” a consumer education campaign aimed at highlighting the benefits of natural gas and the role it plays in Americans’ lives.

“Natural gas makes America stronger,” Pierce H. Norton II, president and CEO of ONE Gas Inc. and chair of the board of AGA, said. “AGA’s ‘Your Energy’ campaign will shine a light on the tremendous benefits
of natural gas for American households and businesses. American-made natural gas supports environmental progress, national security and a healthy economy.”

The campaign will seek to bring attention to aspects of natural gas, such as its role in reducing U.S. carbon emissions, its ability to deliver reliable and affordable energy and the ways that American consumers and businesses use natural gas in their daily lives.

The campaign will feature community outreach, social media engagement, advertising and resources that will be made available for policy makers, elected officials, the media and consumers. State-based programming will also highlight the impact natural gas has on families, communities and state economies in specific states, beginning in Connecticut and Virginia.
