Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana – North union employees ratify new labor agreement

Union membership recently voted to ratify a new labor agreement between Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana – North (Vectren) and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1393 as well as Steelworker Locals 12213 and 7441 as of June 16.

The new agreement was finalized several months before expiration date for the existing agreement of December 1.

“We are pleased our colleagues voted to approve the contract,” Jon Luttrell, Vectren’s senior vice president of utility operations and president of Vectren Utility Holdings, Inc., said. “The willingness of all involved
to work together to reach this agreement well in advance of the contract’s expiration date demonstrates the continuing commitment to maintain a productive partnership between the company and its colleagues and the continued provision of reliable and safe service for our customers.”

Vectren Energy Delivery of Indiana – North is a subsidiary of Vectren Corporation that serves 580,000 customers in the northern portion of Indiana. Vectren Corporation is headquartered in Evansville, Indiana and, through its delivery subsidiaries, provides gas and electricity to over one million customers in Indiana and Ohio.
