PPL Electric Utilities’ announced Wednesday that it named Tracie Witter the new regional affairs director for Williamsport, Pennsylvania and the surrounding region.
Witter will serve as PPL’s community representative in Clinton, Columbia, Juniata, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder and Union counties. She will work with area leaders, elected officials, nonprofit groups and others in the area.
“We’re pleased to welcome Tracie to our team,” Paul Wirth, director of Corporate Communications for PPL Electric Utilities, said. “Her background in community affairs and communications will be an asset as PPL works to serve this important part of our
29-county service territory.”
Before her new role at PPL, Witter served most recently as the director of corporate communications for the UPMC Susquehanna in Williamsport. Previously, she worked as director of community relations and communications specialist at Susquehanna Health System in Williamsport, marketing manager at the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce and admissions counselor at Lycoming College.
Witter earned a bachelor’s degree cum laude from Dickinson College and a master’s degree summa cum laude from Seton Hall University.
Witter will take over for Teri MacBride, who recently retired from PPL.
