AGA’s McCurdy welcomes selection of Gage as new NGVAmerica President

American Gas Association (AGA) President and CEO Dave McCurdy recently applauded a decision by Natural Gas Vehicles for America (NGVAmerica) to name Dan Gage as the association’s new President.

With more than 20 years of experience in government and community relations, Gage most recently served as senior director of communications and public affairs for the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers. Gage will officially become the organization’s president in mid-September.

“Dan’s experience and passion for clean transportation will be a valuable asset to NGVAmerica and its members,” McCurdy said.

After joining the NGVAmerica board in 2014, AGA has worked in tandem with the organization to facilitate the growth of the natural gas vehicles in the United States.

Gage now takes over for Matt Godlewski, who stepped down from his position as NGVAmerica President to assume a role at the Ford Motor Company.

“The case for natural gas transportation has never been stronger with an abundance of this foundation fuel keeping the price affordable and an expanding pipeline network making the fuel available in more places throughout our nation,” McCurdy said. “I look forward to working with Dan to continue to tell the story about the role of natural gas in improving the lives of our customers and moving our nation forward.”
