FERC approves Rover Pipelines’ plan to operate three compressor units in Carroll County, Ohio
Energy Transfer Partners (ETP) recently announced that the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) approved Rover Pipeline, LLC’s plan to begin operating three compressor units at its Mainline Compressor Station 1 in Carroll County, Ohio.
With the approval, Phase 1A of the pipeline project can now move approximately one billion cubic feet per day of natural gas from Cadiz, Ohio to Defiance, Ohio, bringing the entire project closer to its intended total of 3.25 billion cubic feet per day.
According to ETP, Phase 1B of the pipeline, which stretches from Seneca, Ohio, to Cadiz, Ohio is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2017. Further, the entire Rover Pipeline Project is expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter in 2018.
Spanning approximately 713 miles, the pipeline will transport natural gas from the Marcellus and Utica Shale reserve areas to a number of markets across the United States as well as storage hubs owned by Union Gas Dawn in Ontario, Canada.
