Missouri PSC announces intervention deadline for Ameren Missouri FAC adjustment case

The Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC) announced on Monday that parties wishing to intervene with regard to the Union Electric Company’s fuel and purchase power adjustment charge (FAC) case will have until April 11.

In Missouri, Union Electric Company does business as Ameren Missouri. The electric company recently filed two cases with the Missouri PSC to adjust the FAC charges on the bills of its electric customers. Customers will be able to intervene or apply to participate in the case if applications are filed by the deadline.

In its filings, Ameren Missouri said that the FAC adjustments would change in respect to changes in fuel and purchased power costs, sales revenue and regional transportation between October and January. The filing seeks to decrease the FAC from $2.11 to minus $0.02, resulting in a refund. The change would reflect the upcoming June billing period.

Parties that wish to participate or intervene in the case should file requests online at the PSC’s Electric Filing and Information Service website at www.psc.mo.gov. Residents may also file requests via mail to Missouri PSC, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri, 65102.

The second filing is the most recent and reflects previous changes. Interested parties may look up the case number. The number for the second filing is ER-2016-0244, while the case number for the first filing is ER-2016-0243.
