The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) recently released a Diversity Best Practices Guide for Solar Energy, providing a guiding tool for organizations looking to implement diversity goals in the solar industry.
“The solar industry has thrived because of the diversity of its 209,000 employees and the individual talents they bring to their jobs each day,” said Tom Kimbis, interim president of SEIA. “We believe expanding upon that success is integral to our future as an industry, and this guide is the perfect launching pad.”
The guide contains best practices for recruitment, leadership and retention advice, and was designed by SEIA’s Community Engagement Committee to assist solar companies with the practical application of diversity programs. The guide also contains case studies highlighting successful initiatives already in operation.
