Missouri PSC asks stakeholders for improved electric regulation policy suggestions
The Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC) opened a working case on Thursday that invites stakeholders to submit topics for discussion regarding improved utility regulation policies for investor-owned electric utilities in the state of Missouri.
Interested stakeholders are asked to submit written suggestions for policy changes by July 8 of this year. The PSC will hold several workshop meetings between July 8 and August 8 that will allow stakeholders and PSC representatives to discuss policy concerns presented in the submissions.
The statements will be collected into a final report that the PSC plans to publish no later than December 1. Statements may be used as a reference when the Senate Interim Committee on Utility Regulation and Infrastructure Investment leads its forthcoming assessment of the PSC regulatory practices.
“The commission is aware that the Senate Interim Committee on Utility Regulation and Infrastructure Investment will also be examining this issue,” the commission said. “The commission will coordinate its examination of these issues with the Senate Interim Committee, and will offer the information it collects in this case as a resource for the Senate Interim Committee.”
The public is also welcome to submit comments and suggestions regarding the PSC’s electric utility regulatory policies. Comments may be submitted electronically or mailed to the PSC directly.
