Pacific Power offers fleet make-ready pilot program for non-residential Oregon customers looking to go electric
Through the pilot launch of a fleet make-ready program, Pacific Power of Oregon hopes to help non-residential customers transition to and save money with electric vehicles.
We’re committed to supporting our diverse communities in Oregon by providing programs and options for customers to plug in to the benefits of clean transportation while reducing their environmental footprints and contributing to improved air quality,” Kate Hawley, electric transportation senior product manager for Pacific Power, said. “Through this program, we aim to minimize the barriers and offer easier and affordable ways to make the switch to electric vehicles.”
Basically, the program will allow non-residential customers with a fleet of at least two electric vehicles to receive advisory services and custom incentives to support the design and construction costs affiliated with behind-the-meter EV charging infrastructure. Vehicles can either be owned, purchased or leased, but either way, eligible participants can earn incentives for project design, engineering, permitting and construction costs for both their electrical infrastructure and electric vehicle service equipment short of actual chargers.
On top of the physical help, the make-ready program will also provide ongoing technical assistance through on-site feasibility analyses and other specific advice to help customers weigh the various options and costs before them.
