Solar Frontier Americas, the U.S. subsidiary of Solar Frontier, recently announced that it completed the
sale of its 40-megawatt (MW) Midway II solar power plant in Imperial County, California to a subsidiary
of Dominion Energy, Inc.

“We’re pleased Dominion is expanding its assets with a solar project developed by Solar Frontier
Americas,” Solar Frontier Americas COO Charles Pimentel said. “As a highly successful Fortune 500 company, we applaud the growth of their renewable energy portfolio, their commitment to sustainable energy generation and the reduction of environmental carbon emissions.”

The Midway II Project, located on 320 acres northwest of Calipatria, California, uses approximately 242,000 Solar Frontier advanced CIS solar modules mounted on NEXTracker’s single-axis solar trackers. The project has a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Imperial Irrigation District, a public power utility in California serving the Imperial Valley, for the electricity generated by the plant.

“This acquisition highlights Dominion’s ongoing commitment to owning and operating renewable energy generation,” Jim Eck, vice president of business development and merchant operations for Dominion’s generation operating segment, said. “We are pleased to work with Solar Frontier to provide more clean energy to the grid.”

Midway II is part of Solar Frontier America’s 106 MW Midway projects portfolio. Solar Frontier Americas has a total of more than 400 megawatts of solar projects in various phases of development.
