Mark Wingate named 2016 Small Business Person of the Year

The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) on Monday named NEMA board of governors member Mark Wingate of MVC-Maxivolt as the 2016 Small Business Person of the Year for the Lubbock-West Texas District.

“On behalf of NEMA and the entire electroindustry, I applaud Mark Wingate for his outstanding achievement—this is a truly distinctive honor to receive from one’s community,” NEMA President and CEO Kevin J. Cosgriff said. “A third-generation entrepreneur, Wingate has invented and designed dozens of electronic devices and electrical systems, and he has earned patents for medium-voltage applications in both industrial and government sectors. 

“Mark has built a business to be proud of and deserves this special recognition for his leadership and expertise. His business acumen, engineering innovations, and respect by peers, clients, and suppliers alike are an inspiration to us all. We are honored to have him on the NEMA board of governors.”
